Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced an expansion of Google’s partnership with Nvidia, highlighting ongoing collaborations in AI, robotics, and accelerated computing. “Our ongoing and deep partnership with @NVIDIA spans the early days of Android to today’s cutting-edge AI collaborations across Alphabet,” Pichai posted on X. “I’m really excited about the next phase of our partnership as we work together on agentic AI, robotics, and bringing the benefits of AI to more people around the world,” he added.

Google and Nvidia expand AI collaboration

In a blog post titled “How Google and Nvidia are teaming up to solve real-world problems with AI”, Google detailed its AI initiatives across Google DeepMind, Google Cloud, and Alphabet’s Other Bets. The company emphasized its long-standing collaboration with Nvidia in AI research, hardware optimization, and software development. Nvidia’s role in AI and accelerated computing has been central to these efforts.
At the Nvidia GTC global AI conference, Google announced updates in its cloud computing infrastructure, stating that Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure will integrate Nvidia’s latest GPUs to enhance AI model training and deployment. The A4 VM, powered by Nvidia HGX B200 GPU, is now available, and A4X VMs featuring Nvidia GB200 NVL72 will be launching soon. Google also confirmed its support for Blackwell GPUs, including the Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell and Nvidia GB300, aiming to enable faster AI model training and smoother deployments.

Expanding access to AI Models


DeepMind and Nvidia are also working together to make the Gemini AI model more accessible to developers and end users. Google DeepMind recently introduced Gemma 3, an open AI model optimized for Nvidia GPUs, with Nvidia playing a key role in its development. Additionally, Nvidia has implemented Google DeepMind’s SynthID watermarking tool on its Cosmos video generation platform, marking the first external use of the technology.
Beyond AI tools, Google and Nvidia are expanding their collaboration to apply AI to global challenges, including energy, drug discovery, and robotics. Google’s Tapestry project and Nvidia are researching ways to improve electric grid simulations. Isomorphic Labs is working with Nvidia to advance AI-driven drug discovery. In the robotics space, Intrinsic and Nvidia are integrating AI models to improve robotic grasping capabilities, while Google DeepMind and Nvidia have introduced MuJoCo-Warp, an open-source physics simulator designed to accelerate robotics research.
