Bengali television show ‘Trinayani’, starring
Gourab Roy Chowdhury and
Shruti Das in the lead characters, has glued the audience with its frequent twists and turns. With antagonists, Jasmine (played by Jasmine Roy) and Sanjukta’s (
Debjani Chatterjee) separate evil plans, Dripta and Nayan’s lives have taken a new turn.
While Dripta has lost his memory after Sanjukta pushed him off the roof of a building under-construction, Nayan’s life has taken a completely new turn. She was rescued by the inmates of an ashram. Soon after the sanyasis and other inmates learn about Nayan’s special power of precognition, they start considering her as a goddess. People from remote place start visiting the ashram only to seek Nayan’s blessing and some solution to their problems. Nayan, who wants to go back to her in-laws’ place, is at a loss.
She doesn’t know how to deal with the situation. A doctor, who grew up in the ashram, promises Nayan to agree to do whatever the disciples ask her while, he would help her to get back her eyesight soon. Following the promise, Nayan undergoes an eye surgery, which might help her to get back the eyesight. Pretty soon, the inmates learn about the surgery and they rush to the hospital. With the belief that a goddess shouldn’t be treated like humans, they confront the doctor. Innocent Nayan’s future is at stake. On one hand, she is longing to get back to her normal life as she is being treated like a goddess, on the other, her husband has lost his memory. Taking advantage of the situation, Jasmine is posing as Dripta’s wife.
Pretty soon, Nayan and Driptawill meet each other but the latter won’t be able to recognise him. With such a storyline, the show is certainly going to have an interesting tweak. It will be interesting to see how the new storyline helps the show to score on the TRP charts.
