Laura Prepon and Ben Foster’s divorce turns ugly as they exchange serious allegations
What started as a quiet separation between former couple Laura Prepon and Ben Foster has now turned into a heated legal battle. Six months after calling it quits, the two of them are at odds over allegations that paint a grim picture about their marriage.
Ben, who initially filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences,” has now amended his petition to include accusations of “inappropriate marital conduct” by Prepon. In legal terms, this refers to actions that allegedly made their marriage unbearable and this news shocked all the fans. Documents filed in a Nashville court on March 18 claim that Prepon’s conduct was “cruel and inhuman,” making it unsafe for them to live together anymore.
But the That ’70s Show star, 45, was quick to comment on the same. Just a day later, she filed her own legal documents not only denying his accusations but throwing the same allegation at him turning the tables. And she didn’t stop there—she also accused Foster of “habitual drunkenness,” suggesting that his alleged drinking habits had an impact on their marriage.
Amid these claims, there’s something far more important at stake and they have two young children. Foster has requested joint custody, arguing that both he and Prepon are “fit and proper parents.” However, Prepon isn’t on the same page. She has pushed back, questioning whether joint custody would be in the best interest of their kids.
