Sara Arfeen Khan had an intriguing stint in the controversial show Bigg Boss 18. As the holy month of Ramzan began, Sara exclusively shared with Times Of India TV about her fond memories, how she plans on managing everything, family time and more.
How have you been managing Ramazan?
Ramazan has been beautiful but quite hectic! Balancing work, family, and fasting takes some effort, but the spiritual energy of this month keeps me going.
Any favourite delicacy that you wait for, Iftaar every year?
As for iftaar, I absolutely look forward to dates and fruits. it’s crazy how we all relish them more than anything else! And of course, a good plate of dahi bhallas or seviyan always feels like Ramazan.
Do you cook anything special for iftaar?
I do try to cook something special for iftaar whenever I can, but honestly, it’s all about keeping it simple and nourishing. A hearty fruit chaat or a light chicken soup is always a winner. Sometimes I experiment with new recipes that pops up on social media and I’ve aced it so far!
Are your kids also observing roza?
For my twins, Aisha and Zidane, since they are just 5, they don’t fast yet. But they love the whole vibe of Ramazan, especially enjoying dates with us at iftaar. It’s adorable how involved they get in the celebrations.
Do you get time to spend iftaar with your family?
I do my best to spend iftaar with my family; when we do, it’s such a cherished time. Those few minutes before breaking the fast, sitting together, and praying…. it’s truly special.
What are your plans for Eid this year?
As for Eid plans, I haven’t planned anything major yet, but I’m totally looking forward to Eid shopping! It’s always fun picking out outfits and gifts for loved ones.
Have you planned an outfit for the big day?
Speaking of outfits, I haven’t finalized anything yet for the big day, but something elegant and traditional is always my go-to!
