Celebrity MasterChef: Netizens laud Gaurav Khanna for standing up against the biased challenge; fans write 'He was in CID for a reason'

Celebrity MasterChef is reaching its finale, and the participants are going all out to please the judges by conjuring up mouthwatering delicacies. Aside from amazing food, the show also features an entertaining mix of drama, squabbles, and disputes. In a recent episode, Nikki Tamboli levelled serious claims against Gaurav Khanna. Later, supporters saw Gaurav Khanna become angry with the task's format, particularly after Tejasswi Prakash won. The candidates faced a food-tasting task in which they had to guess the elements of a dish. Tejasswi came out on top and earned an advantage, but Gaurav was not pleased. He pointed up what he considered a fault in the work. This created additional stress on set.
Gaurav Khanna stated that Tejasswi Prakash had an advantage because she was the first in queue. He stated it was straightforward for her to guess because she could pick up common substances like salt. He was standing last, and by the time it was his turn, the contestants had already guessed the basic elements, making it more difficult for him. He mentioned that there was a mistake with the format because the next round should have started from him. Judges Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna tried to make him realise, but he stated it was alright, he was wrong.
Netizens have come out in support of Gaurav, mentioning how he exposed the makers. A user wrote, "Please Don't do this Gaurav otherwise Tejasswi will start playing victim card." Another one added, "I like teja but YES they were BIASED. Teja said lehsun and it was ginger garlic paste while Gaurav said oil and they asked which oil. Teja said Salt and they didn't ask which salt. I felt it yesterday."
A user also penned, "Gaurav proves he was in CID for a reason." A user also wrote, " Also, they wanted Gaurav to say which oil, Kabita to say coriander seeds or powder. But when Tejaswi said garlic, they said yes garlic paste, but it is ginger garlic paste, but we will give it to you. Very unfair"
While few fans called the show scripted, 'Even I thought the show is biased…I'm a neutral audience, not a fan of anyone in this show…. Celebrity MasterChef is totally scripted and biased, not like previous seasons'. Another one wrote, ' He has a point & yes the show is biased towards Teja & Nikki, used to think that Masterchef was a true reality show but no it’s also scripted:/'
