Exclusive - Randeep Rai on joining Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa: Being a part of the show is nothing short of a dream come true for me

Television actor Randeep Rai, who has impressed the audience with his acting skills in shows like Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, Balika Vadhu and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain is all set to enter Anupamaa. The actor will be playing the role of Mohit Akela and his entry will mark the beginning of new twists and turns. Randeep is extremely thrilled to join the show and calls it a dream come true moment. In an exclusive chat with Times of India TV, the actor spoke about joining Anupamaa, his experience of working on the show and more.
I have got to be a part of a show which in itself is a big brand
Being a part of Anupamaa is nothing short of a dream come true for me. What more could I possibly wish for? Getting the opportunity to be a part of such an iconic journey is truly surreal. I don’t want to speak much about the show and the character because I’m very new to the show. Thoda sa character, Mahual ko samajh jaun then I can talk more about it. But yes I can definitely say that I had dreamt of being a part of a big show like Anupamaa and it has finally come true. I have got to be a part of a show which in itself is a big brand.
On his experience of being on the sets - it is a very easy going team
It’s been just two days that we have started shooting and it is a very easy going team. Everyone on the sets are very good people and they are giving me a lot of support as they know I’m very new to the show. They are very supportive and amazing people.
There is always a little nervousness when you enter an already established show
Yes, there is a little bit of nervousness as I am joining an already established show. The reason is not because I’m new but when you get associated with a brand, there is a sense of responsibility and you have to fulfill it. I know I have to give my everything to the character and the show. Also, I believe when you become a part of a show like Anupamaa which has been running for 5 years, you get to learn a lot. Jab aap aise show ka hisaa bante ho more than giving to the show, you learn a lot.

Anupamaa show mein mujhe kuch bhi character offer hota toh I would have happily accepted it. Aur ye main kehne ke liye nahi keh raha, I am genuinely saying this. I would have not heard about the role, look in the show or if it is a cameo or not, I would have not asked anything. I would have just said yes because sometimes you just go with your gut feeling. Aur yahan maine apne dil ki suni hai.
