Popular television actor Shagun Pandey, best known for his role as Veer Pratap Singh in Mera Balam Thanedaar, will soon be seen playing a lead in the upcoming show 'Saru', talks about sharing a special bond with pets. The actor owns 5 dogs.
On National Pet Day, celebrated annually on April 11, he expressed his love for pets. He said, "The greeting you get from your dog after a long day is one of the best feelings in the world. They can’t vocalise their emotions like we do. Loving gazes, wiggly butts and their funny quirks have us all brimming with oxytocin, the “happy hormone” daily will make you feel that the feeling is absolutely mutual!"
He continued, "Dogs are known for their unconditional love and affection towards their owners. They are loyal, faithful, and correctly referred to as a 'man’s best friend.' There are many subtle ways in which dogs show their love, and as a dog owner, it’s important to be able to recognise and appreciate these gestures. I have 5 dogs, out of which 3 are labs, named Rocky, Pari and Kutt. One is Pit Bull, we call him Joey. And one is Rozy, she's a street rescue. These cuties are part of my family and very dear to us."
The actor feels the bond between the pet and their owner is a long term beautiful commitment.
He shared, "Since my childhood days, I always loved pet and continue to do it. They make me feel happy. If I would not have been an actor would have been a dog trainer."
He added, "As a pet owner, it's your responsibility to ensure your furry friend is well-cared for and receives all the necessary attention and care they need. Owning a pet is a long-term commitment and requires much more than just providing them with food and shelter. All pets, regardless of their breed or size, need regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. Make sure your pet gets plenty of opportunities to play, run, and explore, both indoors and outdoors."

Shagun is known for featuring in shows like Tujhse Hai Raabta, Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet among others.
