Bilaspur clinches T20 title in thrilling super over finish against BCA

RAIPUR: In a gripping final of the Senior Elite Group Inter-District T20 Tournament, Bilaspur triumphed over Bhilai Cricket Association (BCA) in a Super Over at the Raipur District Cricket Association Ground.The match concluded in a tie after both teams scored 133 runs in their respective 20 overs. Opting to bat first, Bilaspur posted a total of 133 for 8 wickets. Mayank Yadav led the scoring with a crucial 30 runs, supported by Mohit Raut's 29. Chasing the target, BCA responded strongly, equalling the score with Ambrish Kumar Singh contributing a vital 41 runs and Anand Rao adding 39. Earlier in the innings, Bilaspur's Mayank Yadav showcased his all-round talent by taking 3 wickets. Mohit Raut and Praveen Kumar Yadav also chipped in with 2 wickets each. The intense match proceeded to a Super Over. BCA struggled under pressure and could only muster 2 runs, losing both their wickets to Mohit Raut's spirited bowling. Bilaspur comfortably chased down the small target in just three deliveries, with Mohit Raut (4 not out) and Mohammad Irfan (1 not out) securing a memorable victory and the championship title for Bilaspur. Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh organized the tournament in preparation for the selection of players for the Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the CCPL.
