Do you believe in the concept of 'drink your food and chew your water' for better digestion?

Madhavan recommends drinking food and chewing water. The phrase "drink your food and chew your water" emphasizes mindful eating and optimal digestion. "Drink your food" means chewing solid food thoroughly until it becomes almost liquid, allowing enzymes in saliva to begin digestion and easing the stomach’s workload. "Chew your water" encourages sipping slowly and swishing water in the mouth before swallowing, aiding hydration and signaling the body to prepare for digestion. This ancient wisdom promotes better nutrient absorption, reduces bloating, prevents overeating, and enhances gut health. By slowing down and being present while eating or drinking, you support your body’s natural rhythm and improve overall wellness.
Madhavan avoids eating raw food after 3pm. Not consuming raw foods after 3 PM is based on Ayurvedic and digestive health concepts. Throughout the day, digestive fire (agni) naturally diminishes, so it becomes more challenging to digest raw foods such as salads, fruits, or sprouts, which are more taxing on the system to digest. Consuming raw foods later in the day may result in bloating, gas, indigestion, and even disrupted sleep. Cooked foods, however, tend to be gentler on the gut and more soothing for the body. By eating only warmed, cooked foods after 3 PM, you aid in smoother digestion, enhanced nutrient uptake, and better overall metabolic and sleep health. He has his last meal at 6.45 pm and never eats processed food.

"Amazing! Absolutely amazing!!! But the discipline required for this ! Not easy! Not many can do it, I know I cannot :(," writes one user. "You are what you eat. Just regular, healthy food in right quantities and at right times is all that's needed. Eat what your ancestors ate," writes another user.
