“Taylor is a sexual assault victim”: Travis Kelce's beau Taylor Swift faces backlash for her silence in Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni lawsuit

Taylor Swift's close friendship with Blake Lively has come under attack because of the legal dispute with her It Ends with Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni. In a December lawsuit, Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, but Swift has been silent on the situation, which generated rumors about how they are with each other.
According to one insider, the fact that Swift has not issued a public endorsement may impact how Baldoni is defended. The two have been close for more than a decade and Swift was even godmother to Lively's three children, but recent proceedings have raised questions about whether their friendship has come undone.

Swift and Lively have been close friends for more than a decade, with Swift even being the godmother of Lively's three children. The two were last spotted publicly together at the Super Bowl, where they watched Travis Kelce play. However, rumors have increased that they might have grown apart after Lively sued Baldoni in December for sexual harassment. Swift's silence has provided fuel for the rumors regarding whether their friendship had been strained.
Taylor Swift was reportedly betrayed by Blake Lively after Justin Baldoni filed a countersuit in January, according to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail. The suit reportedly contained text messages where Lively called Swift one of her "dragons," a reference to Game of Thrones. Used in the legal fight, Swift reportedly chose to cut ties with their friendship.
Taylor Swift has also been vocal about sexual assault cases in the past. In 2017, she won a case against former DJ David Mueller, whom she claimed groped her at a 2013 concert. She was awarded a token $1 in damages and went on to donate to organizations that help survivors of sexual assault.
In 2016, Taylor Swift gave pop singer Kesha $250,000 to help cover legal costs in her lawsuit against producer Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald. Kesha accused Dr. Luke of emotional abuse and sexual assault, although their legal case was finally resolved in 2023.

“Taylor is a sexual assault victim and has donated money to sexual assault victims' funds,” the insider said. “If Taylor truly supported Blake, would she not want to publicly back her?”
Baldoni's countersuit alleges Swift's involvement in an alleged intimidation attempt during a meeting discussing script changes for a rooftop scene in It Ends with Us, with Ryan Reynolds also present. Baldoni claims Swift's presence created a subtext for compliance with Lively's demands. “If Taylor does not believe Blake,” the insider claimed, “She will be the smoking gun in this case.”
