Google rolls out Gemini Live with camera, screen share to all Android users

has announced that all Android users will be able to use Gemini Live through camera and screen recording for free. Announcing the feature availability in a post on X, the company said “We’ve been hearing great feedback on Gemini Live with camera and screen share, so we decided to bring it to more people. Starting today and over the coming weeks, we're rolling it out to all Android users with the Gemini app”.

With screen sharing and camera features in Google’s Gemini Live, users can ask questions, get voice-guided help, record and analyze conversations in real time, brainstorm with an AI assistant, search content on their screen, or identify objects around them. These features were first demonstrated nearly a year ago as "Project Astra".
For those unaware, the feature was previously available for Advanced users only. Earlier this month, it was expanded to include Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S25 devices.
Announcing the feature to Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S25, the X post wrote “Share your screen or camera in Gemini Live to brainstorm, troubleshoot, and more. Rolling out to Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S25 devices today and available for all Advanced users on @Android in the Gemini app”.
