He has made a full-length feature film titled 'Made in Isolation' which is perhaps the first feature film made during the lockdown.

It’s a big honour for Kisaloy Roy. The Kolkata-based musician has won the 'Burt Bacharach award for the best original soundtrack' at the Civitella del Tronto International IMAGO Film Festival (Italy) for Amartya Bhattacharyya's experimental one-room Bengali feature film ‘Ketu’. It was the sole Indian film at the film fest where the Italian Premiere was hosted last week.

Lahari, directed by Amartya Bhattacharyya, premieres at the 30th Kolkata International Film Festival in the Indian Languages Competition section. Featuring actors from his previous award-winning film Adieu Godard, Lahari explores friendship, fatherhood, and growth against Odisha's scenic backdrop. It highlights the state's culture, beauty, and entrepreneurial spirit while offering a profound cinematic experience.

The film Son of Adam directed by Amartya Bhattacharyya won four awards at the International Guadalajara Film Awards (IGFA) for Best feature, Best experimental film, Best director, and Special mention for Best Indie Feature film.

"Son of Adam" is a cinematic adaptation of Rupam Islam's album Aami, which was released in 2020. The film revolves around a primitive man and explores themes of innocence and experience. It includes all eight songs from the album, written and composed by Rupam with Amyt Datta on the guitars. The film will have its world premiere at the 77th Salerno International Film Festival in Italy. Director Amartya Bhattacharyya expresses his excitement for the collaboration with Rupam and the opportunity to premiere at a prestigious festival.

Odia film “Adieu Godard” has been selected for screening at the prestigious 24th UK Asian Film Festival (UKAFF) which begins from May 4. One of the reputed film festivals in the UK, the event is supported by the British Film Institute (BFI) and the Arts Council of England.
