Beed man charged with sexual abuse of 10-year-old daughter

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A 35-year-old man was arrested in Neknoor in Beed for the alleged sexual abuse of his 10-year-old daughter. Police said the incident took place on April 11, in Neknoor's Tandalwadi Ghat village, about 155km from here.
A local court on Tuesday sent the accused man, a daily wage worker, to five days in police custody. An offence under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, has also been registered.
Authorities said the girl was assaulted days after the man had a fight with his wife. Neknoor police station in-charge Chandrakant Gosavi said: "After what was a brawl between them on March 26, the wife left for her mother's home in Pune, leaving their five children, including four daughters, with the husband. Around 11pm on April 11, the accused walked up to his eldest daughter, who was sleeping outside, took her into the house and committed the crime."
Investigators said the girl told her mother about the alleged attack after she returned. It's unclear if the man was drunk at the time of the incident, they added.
