Kavikrut appointed new CEO of T-Hub
Hyderabad: The Telangana govt has appointed former OYO chief growth officer Kavikrut as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of T-Hub, one of the world's largest start-up incubators.
Kavikrut, who hails from Hyderabad, will take the helm at T-Hub with effect from March 10, 2025. He will take over the baton from Sujit Jagirdar, who was appointed interim CEO after the term of the previous CEO, Mahankali Srinivas Rao, ended in early October 2024.
The Telangana govt said with Kavikrut's appointment, T-Hub, which has already supported over 2,000 start-ups, enters a new phase of growth. His deep expertise will be critical in strengthening T-Hub's role as a leading enabler of startup growth and market expansion. The mission is to empower entrepreneurs, accelerate start-up growth, and drive the development of world-class products from India for the world.
"I am excited by the potential of Hyderabad as it steadily grows into a hub for start-ups building products and services from India for the world," said Kavikrut, who started his career as a healthcare start-up founder before working with companies like Amazon and Piramal Group.
At OYO, he played a pivotal role in expanding the hospitality chain's footprint across over 100 cities in India, launching new ventures, and scaling multiple business functions.
Telangana special chief secretary for IT & industries, Jayesh Ranjan, said Kavikrut's passion for startups, global experience, and hands-on operational skills make him the ideal leader for T-Hub.
Cyient founder-chairman and T-Hub founding director, BVR Mohan Reddy, stated that Kavikrut will be instrumental in shaping India's next generation of start-ups.
