After the success of ‘Ponman’, Basil Joseph is all set for his next entertainer film ‘Maranamass’ and the expectations are quite high. Now, the makers have shared an interesting glimpse video for the movie, titled ‘Maranamass - Civic Sense’, playfully showcasing the recent crimes happening in Kerala among the youth.

‘Maranamass - Civic Sense’ video opens with a television news break reporting the surging crimes in Kerala. Then it cuts to a tagline that read, “Nothing good comes out of violence’.

The video then features a humorous interview with Basil Joseph, who appears as a "freak-styled" young man. He recalls a childhood memory in which he set the entire staff room on fire after realizing that teachers were a nuisance to students. He narrates this in a playful tone and adds, “They had to shut down the school for over two weeks. It was quite a relief for the students.” Basil Joseph sports a unique look in the film, with his hair dyed for the role.
Directed by the debutant Shivaprasad, the film is bankrolled by Tovino Thomas and has Basil Joseph in the lead. Post-production work on the film is currently underway, and Maranamass is set to hit theaters during the Vishu festival.
