Ilaiyaraaja was also honored in the Rajya Sabha, where Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar recognized his invaluable contributions to the nation’s musical heritage, calling him a national pride. Actress and MP Jaya Bachchan warmly greeted him in Tamil and expressed her joy in having interacted with the maestro on multiple occasions.
