Previously, RGV even faced legal issues pertaining to the film. Reports state that YT Entertainment had sued the controversial filmmaker for not paying dues to the tune of Rs 1.06 Cr before the release of the film. While on May 7, the filmmaker who was supposed to be present at the hearing at Bombay HC didn’t turn up and was represented by a co-producer who told the court that RGV would pay the amount either on or before May 18, or before the film’s release.
Conflicting reports state that he eventually attended the court hearing and paid the firm its dues, settling the matter in court when the judge passed an order to restrain the release of the film. Some other reports state that RGV is yet to attend a court hearing on June 7 for this matter to be cleared. While the filmmaker claims the film will be released on June 1, it remains to be seen if it really will.
