Spring in Appalachia is no longer just about flowers and sunshine, it's about wild flowers and gardening tools ready to explode, one grumpy florist called Black-Eyed Susan. Bethesda's Fallout 76 has launched its limited-time Spring Event-the Big Bloom from the 6th to the 20th of May, 2025-and is unlike any seasonal event that the game has ever hosted.

Meet Black-Eyed Susan: Appalachia's toughest florist

In the thick of this lively chaos floats Black-Eyed Susan, a gentle-yet-fatalistic retiree now settled in Skyline Valley.Nothing else matters to her as much as floral arrangements and fighting the hatred toward that horrid plant creature called The Overgrown. These green nightmares-have appeared during the Atlantic City: Boardwalk Paradise update-have taken over her favorite meadow and threaten to ruin the peaceful spring. She is ready, guns drawn; now she just needs you.

The affair dragged out various amusing and fiery events. Players had to scour Skyline Valley for all of the varieties of flowers, their numbers totaling 30 each, Crystalcups, Radlilies, and Carnal Weepers. The colorful plants that grow around the zone must be dropped into Susan's basket but not without a mark of caution-they're well-guarded.Once the bouquet bounty is indeed acquired, it's time to face The Overgrown. These mutated monstrosities are more than just glorified weeds; they come in different variants, some vulnerable to fire, while others may pose a more strategic challenge.

Players can also earn bonus reward by burning 25 Overgrown, which is satisfying and effective, as their grassy composition makes them highly flammable. Survivors of the fiery purging will then face Beezlebub, a gigantic mutated bee that is less pollinator and more nightmare fuel.

Why you should join the Bloom

Besides the sweet thrill of battle and wacky spring scenery, the Big Bloom event brings many unique rewards for limited-time. Ranges from outfits and home décor with floral themes to rare crafting ingredients and even boosts in XP gains just during the event; there is a lot to motivate participants-even if they happen to be more gardener than gunslinger.
  • It lightens up the usually rather grim tone that Fallout 76 adopts in its bleak post-apocalyptic world. After all, it's oddly charming to have to defend a wilderness meadow bursting with wildflowers using grenades.
  • The Big Bloom isn't really only about fighting mutant plants; it's also all about celebrating spring Fallout-style. Quirkiness, chaos, and signature humor-horror blend that Fallout is so known for are just what it's going to be all about.
  • For veterans who've lived in the Vaults their whole lives or just picked up the game, it's a reason to get down in the wilderness before summer heats up in Appalachia.
FALLOUT 76 BIG BLOOM EVENT IS HERE!
So grab your flame thrower, fill your flower basket, and help Black-Eyed Susan take back her meadow-because spring in Fallout 76 has never looked so dangerous...or beautiful.
