On Friday night at WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton opened the show, making his return to the Blue brand. During the show, he started calling out John Cena's heel turn and then turned his attention towards Kevin Owens, who he faced during the premium live event to save Sami Zayn.
Previously, when John Cena appeared on the Elimination Chamber PLE and joined hands with The Rock by selling his soul and viciously attacked Cody Rhodes, leaving him severely injured, Orton broke his silence and took a jibe at the Cenation leader’s vicious action.

Orton came to the ring and noted that a lot of unusual things had happened in the last week at the premium live event. He took a jibe at John Cena and said that he had always been at the top of this profession and that Cena was just a bottom for The Rock, which gave a whole new meaning to the term “rock bottom.”
Orton said, “John Cena has always been at the top of this profession, and now he’s just a bottom for The Rock. He further added, "I guess that just gives a whole new meaning to “rock bottom”, now doesn’t it, doesn’t it, John?”
