Samsung One UI 7 update rollout date is now official. The South Korean smartphone maker has confirmed that the next major OS update will begin next month. The Android 15-based Samsung One UI 7 update will introduce a new interface for Galaxy phones which is built for artificial intelligence (AI). The update will initially be available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 and will then gradually roll out to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the coming days.

Samsung One UI 7 update: Key highglights

One UI 7 introduces a redesigned home screen, updated One UI widgets, and a customisable lock screen. The Now Bar provides real-time updates on the lock screen without unlocking the phone.
The update includes AI-driven features like AI Select for saving videos as GIFs and Writing Assist for summarizing and formatting text. Drawing Assist allows creative inputs using text and images, while Audio Eraser removes unwanted noise from videos.
Google Gemini integration enables voice-based searches and commands. Natural language search in Settings helps users find and adjust preferences easily.
Samsung has already released the beta version of the latest One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series. Rumours claim that the update will include a new video recording feature.
The Android 15-based update is said to enable support for capturing LOG (logarithmic footage) videos on the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
This feature is expected to allow the camera sensor to capture a wider dynamic range, preserving details in both very dark and very bright conditions.
