Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath will address the foundation day event of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University on April 14 and recognise distinguished alumni and successful entrepreneurs for their achievements.
BBAU is set to hold its foundation day celebrations across Sunday and Monday, featuring a national seminar alongside various cultural programmes and competitions.
"The university will be celebrating its foundation in the presence of CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday... BBAU has on one of the best environment, cultural diversity, biodiversity and students of all states. It had secured 33rd place in NIRF rankings, NAAC A++ and other national and international rankings and hope that students of BBAU will achieve new successful milestones through harmony, sovereignty, equality, social justice, research, innovation and other activities," said BBAU vice-chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal.
The celebrations will include a book exhibition at Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium by Gautam Buddha Central Library. A collaborative cultural programme between BBAU and UP Government's Department of Culture is alsoscheduled. Additionally, a national seminar focusing on ‘'Babasaheb's Vision of Nation Building and Constitutional Commitments' will feature research paper presentations. A ‘Bhim Walk' is planned for April 14 morning, while on April 13, a free Bhim eye check-up camp will serve the university community.
Student competitions include debates on nation-building concepts, quiz competitions about Ambedkar's vision, extempore speaking, poster making, and slogan writing. Additional activities encompass essay writing on women's empowerment and rangoli competitions centred on constitutional commitments and nation-building themes.
