Minister visits Kalaburagi job mela site
Kalaburagi: Dr Sharanprakash Patil, state minister for medical education, skill development, entrepreneurship and livelihood, addressed the growing unemployment crisis in the country. He highlighted that Karnataka's skill development department is actively conducting job melas to tackle this issue.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday at KCT Engineering College in Kalaburagi city, the minister made these remarks after inspecting the job mela venue alongside officials. The country faces significant unemployment issues, which the central govt has failed to address adequately. However, the state govt remains dedicated to youth welfare and is actively working to secure their future, he said.
Kalaburagi division's job mela is scheduled for April 16 from 9 am to 5 pm at KCT Engineering College, with chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, and Rajya Sabha opposition leader Dr Mallikarjun Kharge inaugurating the event. Successful candidates at the Kalaburagi job mela will receive immediate offer letters, he added.
