Ritu Kumari Phogat is one of the most popular female MMA fighters from India. The 30 year old MMA star started her career with wrestling, and by November 2017, she had won India’s first silver in the 48 kg category in World U-23 Wrestling Championships. But by 2019, she wanted to pursue a new career and made her MMA debut at the ONE Championship: Age Of Dragons against Nam Hee Kim. While Ritu Kumari Phogat achieved a lot of success in her life, she also had her now husband, Sachin Chhikara, by her side who has supported her.

Ritu Kumari Phogat’s husband, Sachin Chhikara, is an advocate by profession who is very supportive of her career. On 8th November 2022, the MMA star announced her wedding with Sachin Chhikara when she posted several pictures on her social media from their beautiful wedding.
Ritu Kumari Phogat’s caption for her wedding pictures read as, “I'm so lucky to be called your wife now and I can't wait to spend the rest of our life together.”
Ritu Kumari Phogat also wrote about their wedding day and added, “I love you it was a very magical and special day that I loved absolutely very second of it.”
The MMA star also highlighted the commitment she has towards her career and made another post where she wrote, “We can not escape from the things that are in our DNA. Yes, I did my practice on my wedding day and got a photo session done in my gloves too!”
The couple had gotten engaged around a month before their wedding in October 2022. Both Ritu Kumari Phogat and her husband, Sachin Chhikara, have continued to remain deeply in love with each other and recently became parents.
On 13th June 2024, Ritu Kumari Phogat gave birth to a baby boy. She announced the birth of their child on Instagram when she posted a picture with her husband from the hospital bed as she cradled her baby bump.
The caption for the post read as, “We are blessed with a perfect gift. We need your blessings for our beautiful boy! Our little champ has arrived!”
The new mother took a break from her career after she gave birth to her baby boy and went back to face Ayaka Miura a few days ago on 20th February. However, unfortunately, Ritu Kumar Phogat lost the match.
