Habba Kadal Legislative Assembly
The Habba Kadal Assembly constituency is one of the 90 seats in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. Situated in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, this constituency also forms part of the Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
The upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases. The first phase, scheduled for September 18, will include areas like Doda West. The second phase will take place on September 25, followed by the final phase on October 1. Votes will be counted on October 8.
In the 2014 Assembly elections, Habba Kadal had a total of 54,858 registered voters, of which 11,686 valid votes were cast, highlighting a moderate voter turnout.
In the 2014 elections, Shamim Firdous of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference secured victory in the Habba Kadal constituency with 4,955 votes. Her closest competitor, Moti Koul from the Bharatiya Janata Party, garnered 2,596 votes, losing by a margin of 2,359 votes.
