Gulmarg assembly constituency
Gulmarg is a legislative assembly constituency in Jammu & Kashmir. The upcoming Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled for September 18.
In the 2014 elections, Gulmarg had a total of 94,700 electors, with 67,905 valid votes cast. Mohd Abass Wani from the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the seat with 22,957 votes, defeating Ghulam Hassan Mir of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Party Nationalist, who secured 20,146 votes, by a margin of 2,811 votes.
In 2008, Gulmarg had 82,935 electors, with 49,592 valid votes. Ghulam Hassan Mir, representing the Jammu & Kashmir Democratic Party Nationalist, won with 18,253 votes, defeating Sheikh Mushtafa Kamal of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference by 6,441 votes.
In 2002, Gulmarg had 70,378 electors, with 35,486 valid votes. Ghulam Hassan Mir of the PDP won with 27,737 votes, defeating Sheikh Mustafa Kamal of the National Conference by a margin of 19,988 votes.
