Handwara Assembly Election Results 2024

Handwara assembly constituency Legislative Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled from September 18 to October 1, 2024, with results to be declared on October 4, 2024. Handwara, a key constituency in the Kupwara district and part of the Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency, is among the 90 constituencies in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The elections will be conducted in three phases: the first on September 18, the second on September 25, and the final phase on October 1, with vote counting set for October 8. In the 2014 election, Handwara had 89,983 electors and saw 67,974 valid votes cast. Sajad Gani Lone of the Jammu and Kashmir People Conference (JKPC) won the seat by defeating Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) candidate Chowdhury Mohammad Ramzan with a margin of 5,423 votes. The PDP has announced Mir Azad Parwaz as its candidate for this election.
